I am very pleased to announce the publication of a classic TRIZ title in English: The TRIZ Consulting Group, in collaboration with GEN TRIZ and MATRIZ Official, has published the TRIZ Level 1 Guide to make it available to people worldwide. I have been using this material extensively in my courses for many years, and for a long time the guide was available as a PDF but not easily accessible.
The original content was developed by TRIZ masters Alex Lyubomirskiy and Simon Litvin. In this edition, all illustrations have been converted to black-and-white drawings. This reduces production costs and improves readability on devices such as the Kindle Paperwhite.
The guide systematically covers the complete Level 1 body of knowledge, including:
- Function Analysis
- Cause-Effect Chains Analysis
- Trimming
- Engineering and Physical Contradictions
- Application of Altshuller’s Matrix
- Competitive Patent Circumvention
